How to use this tool
Choose decomposition or composition and enter syllables or jamo accordingly. Composition uses compatibility jamo and limited sequencing rules; it is not a complete Korean input method or historical-Hangul processor.
Results and examples
The syllable 각 separates into ㄱ, ㅏ and final ㄱ. The matching shapes occupy different syllable roles, and their component code values differ from the precomposed syllable’s code value.
Limitations
- The components do not model liaison or other spoken sound changes.
- Whitespace and unsupported sequences mean a conversion round trip may not reproduce every input.
