How to use this tool
Enter kilograms and grams per kilogram per day. Presets include 0.8, 1.2, 1.6 and 2, with a custom option; compare the result against protein from both food and supplements.
Results and examples
The result is weight multiplied by the factor. It is not an instruction to add that amount as powder on top of meals; distinguish total protein from your existing dietary intake.
Worked example
At 70 kg and 1.6 g/kg, the daily-total scenario is 112 g of protein.
Limitations
- Current nutrition guidance and populations for activity factors need primary-source review.
- Kidney disease, pregnancy and growth require individual nutritional guidance.
