How to use this tool
Specify the pages to cover; leaving the range blank covers every page. There is no control for erasing an individual sentence or a small rectangle, so test the whole-page appearance on a copy of the source.
Results and examples
A black page can still contain the original PDF content underneath the overlay. Selection, extraction or editing may expose it, so the output is unsuitable as proof of confidential-information removal or secure anonymization.
Worked example
For a five-page document, entering 2,4 paints a black rectangle over all of pages two and four. Leaving the range blank covers every page, but this does not mean underlying original text was deleted.
Limitations
- Text, images and PDF objects can remain below the overlay; this is not permanent sensitive-data removal.
- There is no sentence or coordinate-region selector and no validated legal-redaction workflow.
