One Debt Within a Snowball Plan
Despite the snowball name, this form does not sort multiple debts or transfer payments automatically. It calculates the period for one debt within a broader repayment plan.

Snowball: attack the smallest balance first. Run this form once per debt, smallest to largest.
When a smaller debt dies, add that payment here on the next card. That is the snowball.
How to use this tool
Enter the chosen debt’s USD balance, annual rate and monthly payment. Determine available funds after other debts’ minimums separately, and do not blend several rates into a fictitious single account.
Results and examples
Months and interest apply to this debt alone. Prioritising small balances as a behavioural strategy differs from comparing high-rate-first interest costs; the tool does not optimise the order.
Worked example
One USD 600 balance at 0% with USD 150 monthly clears in four months; another account needs its own inputs.
Limitations
- Multiple accounts, changing minimums and total-interest strategy comparison are absent.
- New borrowing, fees, rate changes and payment rollovers are not automated.
