How to use this tool
Choose metric or US units and enter height. The equation starts at 50 kg for male or 45.5 kg for female at 60 inches, adding 2.3 kg for each inch above that height.
Results and examples
The output is one equation value, not an entire healthy-weight range. Extrapolation below the reference height and any drug-dosing use require separate professional judgement.
Worked example
A male height of 70 inches gives 50 + 2.3 × 10 = 73 kg.
Limitations
- The original purpose and validation population still need primary-literature review.
- Children, pregnancy, muscularity and individual treatment goals are not represented.
