PDF OCR — Scanned Pages to Text, Free
Read scanned PDF pages into a text file when there is no selectable text layer. Each page is rendered at double scale and processed with Tesseract; the output is text, not a searchable PDF with an embedded OCR layer.

How to use this tool
Select a PDF and choose Korean, English or their combination to match the document. Skewed scans and small print can reduce accuracy, and this screen has no password field for opening an encrypted source.
Results and examples
Compare names, amounts, dates and table reading order in the TXT with the original. Page separators are retained but layout is not, so review recognized text before treating it as an authoritative transcription.
Worked example
Choose eng for a scanned English receipt PDF to obtain TXT with page separators. Use eng+kor for a mixed Korean-English contract scan and compare names, dates and amounts character by character.
Limitations
- Output is recognised TXT, not a newly searchable PDF with an added text layer.
- Tables, handwriting and blur can cause errors, and this form has no password field.
