How to use this tool
Choose a width and compare it with the source resolution. Height is calculated from the aspect ratio, so portrait and landscape clips produce different dimensions; enlarging a small source does not recover missing detail.

Worked example
Resize a 1920×1080 landscape video to width 1280 for an approximately 1280×720 output. For a portrait source at width 640, inspect the automatically derived height rather than expecting a square crop.
Limitations
- Only width is chosen; height is made even while preserving ratio, not set independently.
- H.264/AAC re-encoding occurs, and enlarging a small source creates no new detail.
