How to use this tool
Enter finite times in seconds, with a nonnegative start and an end greater than start. Keep the interval within the source duration and consider whether the edit requires an exact first frame.
Results and examples
Review the opening scene, ending scene and sound in the output. Requested duration is end minus start, while stream-copy keyframe constraints can shift the effective cut around the intended boundary.
Worked example
Select seconds 10–20 from a one-minute recording for an approximately ten-second MP4 copy. Check the actual first frame around a scene change; use a re-encoding editor when frame-exact boundaries are required.
Limitations
- Stream copy can align cuts with keyframes rather than the precise requested frame.
- Subtitles are not retimed automatically and transition effects are not added.
