How to use this tool
Choose jurisdiction and whether the input includes VAT. Amounts remain in their input currency without conversion to euros; comparing different currencies requires a separate conversion.
Results and examples
Inclusive amounts divide by one plus the rate to find net value; exclusive amounts multiply net by the rate for tax. Check the snapshot and transaction type before using a result in actual reporting.
Worked example
At a 20% scenario rate, net 100 gives VAT 20 and gross 120; extracting from 120 returns net 100.
Limitations
- Reduced rates, exemptions and import VAT are excluded.
- Reverse charge, digital-service location and business eligibility are not determined.
