Results and examples
Tip is base × rate, total is base plus tip and each share is total divided by people. Rounded shares can differ from the total by a few cents, so reconcile the final payment.
Worked example
USD 50 at 18% adds USD 9, making USD 59 total or USD 29.50 each for two people.
Limitations
- Individual orders and separate tax calculation are not supported.
- Mandatory service charges are not distinguished from voluntary tips automatically.
