How to use this tool
Use a PDF with selectable text and set a document title. Image-only scans need OCR instead, and complex multi-column layouts may produce a reading order that requires manual correction.
Results and examples
Review the page sections and line breaks before editing them into meaningful paragraphs. A no-selectable-text notice is not source content, and tables or links should not be assumed to have been reconstructed.
Worked example
A two-page text PDF becomes Markdown with a document heading and Page 1 and Page 2 sections. After moving text into a blog draft, rebuild tables by checking the PDF rather than assuming table syntax survived.
Limitations
- Visual heading sizes are not automatically reconstructed as semantic Markdown levels.
- Scanned image text is not recognised; pages without selectable text receive a placeholder.
